A Rebellion Against Standards​

For too long, the fashion industry has tried to fit us into artificial boxes like “S–M–L.” We believe true perfection isn’t found in industry-defined sizes, but in your own unique anatomy.

Tailor-Flow is an open-source sewing revolution. We are here to make complex mathematical formulas accessible to everyone and bridge the gap between digital data and textiles. We aren’t just producing patterns — we are building an open, free production process, developed by everyone, for everyone.

How Tailor-Flow Works​

Our process is as clear as a line of code and as smooth as a touch of fabric:

  • Measure — Define your body measurements in the system just once.
  • Calculate — Our algorithms recalculate your chosen pattern with millimetre precision to fit your physique.
  • Produce — Sew it on your home machine or send it to a professional atelier. Your code, your rules.

Because the best designer for a garment is the person who will wear it.

Patterns vs Designs​

If you came to this site looking for sewing patterns and did not immediately find a place to download them, that’s because every pattern on Tailor-Flow is made to measure.

We don’t scale or grade patterns. Instead, Tailor-Flow drafts a design into a pattern based on your measurements — in real time, in your browser.

  • Design — One of the styles that we offer. We’ve got dozens, and you can try them all.
  • Pattern — The result of drafting a design against your measurements. Thousands of patterns live on the platform, and some of them might be yours.

Saving is optional​

When you generate a bespoke pattern, you can tweak it endlessly and export it to PDF. It stays ephemeral until you save it to your account — then it becomes one of your patterns that you can revisit, modify, and re-export.

We respect the strictest privacy laws on the planet​

To generate bespoke patterns we need your measurements. Asking for them every time would be tedious, so we store them with your account — governed by our privacy notice and with full respect for your rights.

Measurements Sets​

Once you have an account, you can start adding measurements. What if you want a pattern for yourself, but also for your partner? That’s what measurements sets are for. Add as many as you like — having just one is fine too.

Tailor-Flow also provides curated measurements sets, taken from real people, used to test our platform. You can use them to try the platform before you break out the measuring tape.

We Grow as You Create​

Tailor-Flow is as much a community lab as it is a platform. Want to modify a pattern? Did you develop a new sewing technique? Thanks to our open-source framework, everyone is invited to contribute. We welcome those who love to sew, coders who want to fuse fashion with logic, and anyone who understands the language of fabric.

Tailor-Flow is built on top of the open-source FreeSewing framework, created by Joost De Cock and contributors. The Tailor-Flow brand, copy, and curated experience are our own; the engine beneath is open source — as it should be.
