        <summary type="html"><![CDATA[I made a Wahid out of scrap leather for my LARP character (you can kinda see my 3d printed artificer artifact puzzle in the photo lol)! I made a single layer mock up with cotton canvas and tailored it to fit tightly, and cut pieces of leather scrap and glued + basted them to the wrong side, covering the darts to sculpt it to my body shape. I covered the gaps between the edges of pieces with a wide and tight zig zag stitch using multiple shades of brown to give a mossy/bark-like look and finished with heavy duty snaps for the closure! This is my third Wahid and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and it worked really well for the LARP:)]]></summary>

        <summary type="html"><![CDATA[There have been several discussions about making these plush toys in unusual sizes. Going big isn't that complicated, but going much smaller has its limitations. I had to modify the pattern, leaving out the teeth, combining the mouth and belly parts into one, making the body a bit wider, and changing the way the fins are attached.]]></summary>
        <content type="html"><![CDATA[<div class="mdx"><p>There have been several discussions about making these plush toys in <em>unusual</em> sizes. I had to modify the pattern, leaving out the teeth, combining the mouth and belly parts into one, making the body a bit wider, and changing the way the fins are attached.</p>
<p>The material is regular minky, all hand sewn, and the eyes are 5mm rhinestone rivets, attached with a faux leather backing piece (like a washer), so they don't work their way out of the stretchy fabric.</p>

<p>The ladies on the back come from the Ladies in Blue fresco, reconstructed in the 1910s from rubble found at the Minoan palace at Knossos. The dolphin and fish from the front are from a different room of the same palace complex. The octopus on the sleeves is from a vase found at a different site, Palakaistro, on the same island.</p>

Still, it took a lot of effort to make this—the second plushie will have shorter and thicker tentacles.]]></summary>
